Fetisov: “The ban on the Russian flag in social networks is a mockery, and neutral status is worse than a refugee team”
Two -time Olympic champion and State Duma deputy Vyacheslav Fetisov called the mockery of the decision of World Aquatics to ban Russian athletes to publish the Russian flag in social networks during the World Sports Championship.
Earlier, the World Aquatics press service told Match TV that the organization prohibits Russian athletes in some way to show any identification with the country while they are in neutral status at the World Sports Water Sports Championships in Singapore. The ban also applies to the social networks of athletes.
– The ban on the Russian flag on social networks is just a mockery of us. All these requirements will only worsen, unfortunately. Pavlik Morozov simply rests compared to how international federations do with Russian athletes. We have been under sanctions for how many years, and the situation is getting worse. Soon they will begin to divide into neutral athletes of the first degree, the second degree. For me, neutral status is worse than a team of refugees, – quoted Fetisova “All -Sport”.
The World -2025 championship is held from July 11 to August 3.

Dmitry Khristich, the coach of the Ukraine national hockey team, made a 2025 prediction for the team. The main event was the World Championship in Division 1A, where the team only lost their chance to reach the elite league in the last match.
“I think the year has been positive. We won most of our matches. I also rate our performance in the World Championship positively. Many people probably wanted us to get into the elite league immediately, but I believe that we need to gain experience and confidence at this level. You have to believe in yourself and build on your experience by getting positive results against D1A teams and promotion teams that constantly jump from league to league.”

A leaders’ match took place as part of the Ukrainian Hockey Championship – the current champion Kremenchuk hosted Sokol as part of the festive meeting at Christmas.
The match ended with Kremenchuk scoring 4:1, and the match was abandoned twice due to air raids.
