Kaprizov and Ovechkin jerseys became the best-selling NHL off-season
Jerseys of Russian hockey players Kirill Kaprizov and Alexander Ovechkin became the best-selling jerseys in the NHL off-season, reports the press service of the company that produces uniforms and equipment for league clubs.
Minnesota forward Kaprizov took first place in the rating, Washington captain Ovechkin took second place. The top 3 on the list was completed by Detroit forward Dylan Larkin. Utah’s Clayton Keller and Boston’s David Pastrnak were fourth and fifth, respectively.
At the end of September, Minnesota signed a contract with 28-year-old Kaprizov for eight years, the agreement will come into force in the 2026/27 season. Under this agreement, Kaprizov will receive $136 million, and the average annual salary of a Russian will be 17 million. Both figures are league records.
Last season, Ovechkin became the best sniper in the history of the NHL regular championships, with 897 goals.
The new NHL season started on Tuesday.
