Russian forward “Columbus” Marchenko recognized as the first game day star in the NHL
Russian Columbus forward Kirill Marchenko has been recognized as the first game-day star in the NHL, the league’s press service reports.
On Sunday, the 25-year-old forward scored a hat trick in a match with Minnesota and helped the team win with a score of 7:4.
The second star of the day was Belarusian Washington forward Alexei Protas, who had a double and an assist in the match with the New York Islanders (4:2).
The third star was Anaheim’s Swedish forward Leo Karlsson, who scored one goal and provided two assists in a 7-6 OT win over San Jose.
