Kaprizov approaches Minnesota’s club record for power-play goals
Russian Minnesota Wild forward Kirill Kaprizov has become closer to the club record for power-play goals, the NHL press service reports.
Kaprizov scored in a 4-3 B victory over the Los Angeles Kings, scoring his 65th power play goal in his Wild career. The 28-year-old Russian ranks second in club history in terms of this indicator.
The record belongs to Zach Parise (69).
This season, Kaprizov scored 7 (3+4) points in three starting matches of the regular season. According to the NHL press service, this is the second most productive start among Minnesota hockey players in history. Only Mikko Koivu had a stronger start in the 2008/09 season. Then the Finn scored 9 (1+8) points in the first three matches.
