New Jersey beat Colorado in overtime in an NHL match, Gritsyuk and Nichushkin scored one goal each
The New Jersey Devils defeated the Colorado Avalanche in overtime in a home game of the NHL regular season.
The meeting in Newark ended with a score of 4:3 (2:2, 1:0, 0:1, 1:0). During regulation time, Arseniy Gritsyuk, Jack Hughes and Connor Brown scored goals for the hosts. Valery Nichushkin, Nathan MacKinnon and Brock Nelson scored for the guests. Hughes brought victory to New Jersey in overtime.
New Jersey won its eighth victory in a row; the team leads the Eastern Conference standings with 16 points. Colorado suffered its fourth defeat in a row and is second in the West with 14 points.
The teams will meet on Tuesday at Colorado’s home ice.
