Washington lost to Florida on the road in a match of the NHL regular season.

The meeting took place in Sunrise and ended with a score of 6:3. Sam Rinehart scored a double for Florida, and Evan Rodriguez, Cole Schwindt, Seth Jones and Etu Luostarinen scored once more. Brandon Duhaime, Justin Sourdif and Rasmus Sandin scored for Washington.

Florida’s Russian goalkeeper Daniil Tarasov stopped 37 shots (92.5%). Washington forward Alexander Ovechkin scored no points.

Florida scored 19 points and took tenth place in the Eastern Conference, Washington (17) dropped to 15th place.

In another match of the day, Detroit defeated Anaheim at home with the same score.
