Bobrovsky’s save captivated all of America! Fans are delighted with the Russian’s performance
Sergei helped the Panthers win an important victory.
Goalkeeper from Russia Sergei Bobrovsky, like the rest of Florida, cannot count the start of the regular season as an asset. But it seems that the Panthers are gradually coming to their senses, and in the game against Utah, Bobrovsky showed that it is not for nothing that he is considered one of the strongest goalies in the NHL.
“Save of the Year Candidate”
For the reigning Stanley Cup champion, Florida has had a terrible start to the season, at times falling to last place in the Eastern Conference. Bobrovsky did not shine at the last stage either, as he simply cannot reach the mark of 90% of reflected shots.
But the Panthers are in no hurry to give up ahead of time. Before the away game with Utah, the team won twice, slightly improving its tournament position.
The game against the “mammoths” did not start in the best way for the guests, but Bobrovsky was not in the mood for defeat and held back the initial onslaught of the opponent. At times he had to make three saves for one attack by the hosts! Sergei could not save forever, and after another failure of the Panthers, the hosts organized an effective counterattack. Florida managed to turn the game around, scoring three goals in a row.
The guests had a successful period thanks to the reliable play of Bobrovsky, who did an excellent job. The save was especially impressive at the end of the second period, when the goalkeeper moved with lightning speed to the far post and deflected a shot from Clayton Keller, who was trying to complete a cross pass with one touch. Keller couldn’t even believe that he didn’t realize such a wonderful chance.
The Florida goalkeeper caught the puck tightly with a trap, and his cool save delighted all the fans. The NHL press service immediately noted the Russian’s rescue.
— Candidate for save of the year. Major theft by Sergei Bobrovsky,” the NHL press service commented on social networks.
“Brick Wall”
Fans vied with each other to praise the Russian on social networks.
– How did he do it? Without a doubt, this is the best save of the year, asks @RaceFC1Di9.
“Bobrovsky deserves a prison sentence for stealing Keller’s shot like that,” @JacksonHolman2 sneers.
– “Brick wall”! “Bobby is still in shape,” assesses the Russian’s performance @caidfm.
— Bobrovsky made the save of the century, parrying Keller’s shot. The fans rejoiced as if he had scored, expresses the opinion of @houston_brogan.
“This save by Sergei is simply incredible,” admires @Susiescelfo.
Utah managed to equalize the score in the second period, but in the final period the guests snatched a victory with a score of 4:3. The Panthers picked up their third win in a row thanks to Bobrovsky and moved up to 12th place in the Eastern Conference.
