The New York Rangers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 5 of the NHL Playoffs First Round Series, 5-3.
Adam Fox, Alexi Lafrenier, Jacob Truba, Philip Chitil and Ryan Lindgren scored on the winning roster. Artemi Panarin made one assist. Goalkeeper Igor Shesterkin saved 29 shots.
Jake Gyuntsel scored twice for the guests, Chris Letang scored one more goal. Forward guests Evgeni Malkin made two assists.
Pittsburgh leads 3-2 in the best-of-four series. The sixth match of the confrontation is scheduled for May 13.
