The Florida Panthers beat the Washington Capitals 5-3 in Game 5 of the NHL Playoffs.

As part of the winners, Carter Verhege scored two goals. Patrick Hernquist, Sam Reinhart and Claude Giroud scored once more. Goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky saved 28 shots.

The guests have a double on the account of TJ Oshie, another goal was scored by Justin Schultz. Evgeny Kuznetsov made two assists, Alexander Ovechkin acted as an assistant once. Goalkeeper Ilya Samsonov saved 33 shots.

Florida is leading 3-2 in the best-of-four series. The sixth match of the series is scheduled for May 12.
