Russian forward Kirill Kaprizov moved into clear second place in the number of goals in the history of the Minnesota Wild in the NHL regular championships, the league’s press service reports.

Minnesota defeated the Washington Capitals 5-0 on Tuesday in a regular-season home game, with Kaprizov scoring in the second period. For the 28-year-old Russian, this is his 206th goal for the Wild, which puts him in second place ahead of Finn Mikko Koivu (205).

The leader in the number of goals for the team is Slovakian Marian Gaborik – 219 goals.

Kaprizov has been playing for Minnesota since 2021. In total, he played 353 matches for the team and scored 424 points (206+218). In the playoffs, the forward scored 21 points (15+6) in 25 meetings.
