The coach of the Ukrainian national team talked about the 17-year-old striker playing three matches in three days
Dmitry Khristich, coach of the Ukraine national hockey team, evaluated the three matches played against Romania in the European Nations Cup. The team won all three matches.
“Three matches against one team, but it was a good training camp. We watched a lot of new players, including in the Ukrainian championship. We will draw conclusions about the newcomers. Some performed well, others were not so good.”
“17-year-old Denis Zherebko? There are no complaints about my work and two goals in three games is a good result. But he still needs to improve and improve. As for the next stage of the European Nations Cup, we will decide on the squad later. Let’s see who can come.”
“And the matches there will be harder because the opponents are higher than us in the rankings,” Khristic said.
Ukraine is scheduled to play against Poland, Great Britain and Slovenia in February.
