Grishin and Isakov will be coaches of the KHL U23 Stars team at the KHL All-Star Game

Head coach of Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik Igor Grishin and Alexey Isakov from Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo will lead the KHL U23 Stars team in the 2026 KHL All-Star Game in Yekaterinburg, the league’s press service reports.

The star weekend starts on February 6 with a match for the Challenge Cup. On February 7, the first part of the master show and two semi-final matches will take place, and on February 8, the second part of the skill competition and the decisive games of the tournament will take place.

Grishin and Isakov will take part in the All-Star Game for the first time in their careers.

In 2026, the All-Star Game will be held in a new format. A mini-tournament of four teams will be organized. The host team of the All-Star Game will be the KHL Ural Stars, a team made up of players from Avtomobilist, Traktor, Metallurg and Salavat Yulaev. The teams KHL World Stars, KHL RUS Stars and KHL U23 Stars will also be represented at the tournament. The first team will include foreign players playing in the KHL, as well as Belarusian and Kazakh hockey players. The KHL RUS Stars will feature Russian players selected based on voting by fans of the media and the league. The young stars team will include hockey players born no earlier than January 1, 2003.
