Former vice-president of Metallurg Magnitogorsk Gennady Velichkin called the appointment of Vyacheslav Kozlov to the post of head coach of Dynamo Moscow a good option for the club.

On Thursday, the hockey club approved the candidacy of 53-year-old Kozlov for the position. The Russian specialist replaced Alexey Kudashov in his post. Under his leadership, the hockey team won seven victories in nine matches.

– I think this is a good choice. Of all the options that could have been, this is probably the most acceptable. He knows the team, is familiar with the club, and has already worked for some time. I think this is a good option,” Soviet Sport quotes Velichkin.

Kozlov was previously an assistant coach at Spartak, Avangard and Kunlun.

Dynamo is fourth in the Western Conference standings with 48 points. In the next match, the “blue and white” will host Kazakhstan’s “Barys” on December 18.
