World Hockey Championship U-20. Where did the Ukrainian national team finish and who won the tournament?
The U-20 World Hockey Championship in Group 1A ended in Slovenia.
The Ukrainian youth team retained its place in the second league by beating France 3-2 in the last match. The team with six points finished fifth.
The tournament was won by the Norwegian team, which even before the last match guaranteed itself gold and access to the elite league. Kazakhstan and Austria were in the top 3.
Interestingly, only Ukrainian hockey players managed to take points from the champion by losing in overtime.
All opponents of the Ukrainian national team in the 2026 World Cup will be determined in January.
