9 goals and extra time. Ukraine national team played against Romania
The Ukraine national hockey team played its third match in three days against Romania as part of the European Nations Cup, allowing them to prepare for the World Championship in Division 1A.
Dmitry Khristich’s team won in overtime with a score of 5:4.
At the same time, the Ukrainians were ahead 2:0, but they failed, conceding four goals in the second period. In the third period, the guest team recovered and sent the game to overtime, and Vitaly Lyalka scored on the power play.
Interestingly, this is the seventh fight between the rivals in 2025. Ukraine won six of them.
Then the Ukrainian team will return to the ice in February, when meetings with Great Britain, Slovenia and Poland are planned.
