“Avangard” defeated “Neftekhimik” in a KHL match
Omsk Avangard defeated Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik in the regular season match of the Fonbet KHL Championship.
The meeting in Nizhnekamsk ended with a score of 3:0 (3:0, 0:0, 0:0). The goals were scored by Artem Blazhievsky, Nikolai Prokhorkin and Konstantin Okulov. Avangard goalkeeper Nikita Serebryakov stopped 34 shots and kept the goal intact for the 20th time in his KHL career.
“Avangard” with 47 points is in third place in the Eastern Conference standings, “Neftekhimik” (37), which suffered a third defeat in a row, is fifth.
Guy Boucher’s team will play against Lokomotiv in Yaroslavl in the next match on Saturday, Neftekhimik will meet away with Metallurg Magnitogorsk on December 22.
