Lokomotiv defeated CSKA for the third time in the KHL season
Yaroslavl Lokomotiv beat CSKA in shootouts in the Fonbet KHL Championship match.
The meeting in Yaroslavl ended with the score 2:1 (1:0, 0:1, 0:0, 0:0, 1:0). Maxim Shalunov scored for Lokomotiv. Prokhor Poltapov scored for the Red-Blues. Artur Kayumov brought victory to the railway workers in the shootout series.
Lokomotiv beat CSKA for the third time this season. Bob Hartley’s team extended its winning streak to four matches and is leading the Western Conference standings with 52 points; the Army team is seventh (40).
Lokomotiv will host Avangard Omsk in their next match on Saturday, and CSKA will play at home against Dynamo Moscow on Sunday.
