World Hockey Championship U-20. Failure of the Ukrainian national team: They conceded 9 goals from Austria
The Ukrainian youth team played its fourth match in Division 1A at the U-20 World Hockey Championship. The opponent was the Austrian team.
The meeting ended with the Austrian team scoring 9:2.
The start of the match was disastrous, with the opposition scoring three goals in ten minutes. Ukrainian hockey players pulled two goals back but conceded again before the break.
Starting the second 20 minutes with two goals, with Austria in the majority, the coaches had to make a goalkeeper change for the first time in the tournament: Boyko came into the game instead of Levshin.
In the end, everything ended in a crushing victory for the rival who was struggling to break into the elite league.
Ukraine is in penultimate place with three points and will play a survival match against France on Saturday. The French have no points but will play against Slovenia later.
