Vengryzhanovsky’s double helped Sochi beat Barys in the KHL match
Sochi beat Kazakhstan’s Barys in the Fonbet KHL Championship match.
The meeting in Astana ended with a score of 5:1 (3:1, 1:0, 1:0) in favor of the guests. Denis Vengryzhanovsky scored a double for the winners, and Daniil Seroukh, Artem Volkov and Cameron Lee also scored. Semyon Simonov scored for Barys.
Sochi scored 25 points and is in 11th place in the Western Conference standings; Barys is eighth in the East with 34 points.
In the next match, on December 23, the Sochi team will play away against Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo, and the team from Astana will host Chelyabinsk Traktor on the same day.
