Former Kuznetsk Bears coach Krasilnikov died at the age of 71
Former head coach of the Kuznetsk Bears hockey club Sergei Krasilnikov died at the age of 70, reports the press service of Novokuznetsk Metallurg.
The causes of Krasilnikov’s death have not been specified.
“The Novokuznetsk hockey club expresses its deepest condolences to family and friends… We mourn,” the message says.
Krasilnikov played as a striker for Shakhtar Prokopyevsk, then led the team. He also worked at the Metallurg school, including serving as director.
Under the leadership of Krasilnikov, the Kuznetsk Bears showed their best result in the history of the Youth Hockey League – in the first season of the MHL League, the team from the Metallurg system reached the playoff finals and won silver medals.
