Washington defeated New Jersey in an NHL match, Ovechkin scored his 15th goal of the season

The Washington Capitals hockey players beat the New Jersey Devils in an away match of the NHL regular season.

The meeting in Newark ended with a score of 4:3 in favor of the guests. Alexey Protas, Anthony Beauvillier, Russian Alexander Ovechkin and Jacob Chickran scored goals for Washington. New Jersey scored a double from Jesper Bratt and Cody Glass scored one goal.

Chikran scored the winning goal in the last minute of overtime.

Ovechkin scored his 15th goal this season and made an assist. The Washington captain has 33 (15+18) points in the championship.

This is the 40-year-old Russian’s 912th goal in the NHL regular season (a league record) and the 989th goal including the playoffs.

Wayne Gretzky’s record for goals in an NHL game, including playoff games, is 1,016 goals.
