Team Canada defeated Latvia in overtime at the IIHF World Junior Championships

The Canadian team defeated the Latvian team in the match of the second round of the group round of the Junior World Hockey Championship, which takes place in the USA.
The meeting of Group B ended with a score of 2:1, the winner was determined in overtime. In the main time, Cole Resni scored for the Canadians, and Rudolfs Berzkalns for the Latvians. In the first minute of overtime, Michael Hage’s goal brought victory to the Maple Leaves.
In other matches of the day, the Czech Republic defeated Denmark (7:2), and the US hockey players were stronger than Switzerland (2:1).
