Okulov’s double helped Avangard beat Sibir in a KHL match
Omsk Avangard defeated Novosibirsk Sibir in the Fonbet KHL Championship match.
The meeting in Novosibirsk ended with a score of 5:2 (1:1, 3:1, 1:0). For Avangard, Konstantin Okulov scored a double, and Andrew Poturalski, Semyon Chistyakov and Damir Sharipzyanov scored a goal. Mikhail Abramov and Anton Kosolapov scored for Sibir.
Avangard scored 57 points and ranks second in the Eastern Conference standings, Sibir (36) is 10th.
Guy Boucher’s team will play against Ak Bars in Kazan in the next match on January 6, and Siberia will host Admiral Vladivostok on the same day.
