Head coach of the NHL club Washington Capitals Spencer Carbery said that he does not know whether Alexander Ovechkin will urgently restore his front teeth after a painful hit with a stick. RMNB reports this.

Alexander Ovechkin lost part of his front tooth on Saturday during the NHL regular season match against Chicago (2:3). Four minutes into the third period, Chicago defenseman Louis Crevier hit Ovechkin in the face with his stick. The Russian started bleeding. He barely made it to the bench, but then continued playing.

— I didn’t ask Ovechkin whether he plans to restore his teeth, or whether he’ll play like that for now. And I don’t even know if it was his real tooth, because these are the kinds of chips that happen on artificial teeth. They split and are replaced. So I don’t know if it was his real tooth. We’ll have to find out,” Carbery said.

40-year-old Ovechkin scored no points in the game against Chicago. His goalless streak lasts four matches.
