Junior World Hockey Championship. Team Canada finished the tournament with a brilliant victory
The bronze medal match took place between the Canadian and Finnish national teams at the U-20 World Junior Hockey Championship held in the USA.
Yesterday, the Canadians lost to the Czechs and the Finns to Sweden in the semi-finals. In the third place match, Maple came out stronger and won with a score of 6:3.
Forwards Michael Hage and Gavin McKenna scored four points each for Canada. It’s worth mentioning that McKenna is currently at the top of scouts’ lists as a first pick candidate in the 2026 draft.
This is a pretty important bronze for the team, even though the Canadians hold the record for most titles (20).
Maple won the medal after two consecutive unsuccessful tournaments outside the top 3.
