Team Canada beat Finland and won bronze at the World Junior Hockey Championship

The Canadian team beat the Finnish team in the match for third place at the Junior World Hockey Championship, which takes place in the United States.

The bronze medal match took place in St. Paul and ended with a score of 6:3. For the Canadians, Sam O’Reilly scored a double, and Brayden Coots, Zane Parekh, Porter Marton and Gavin McKenna scored one goal each. Arttu Välälä, Julius Miettinen and Heikki Ruohonen scored for the Finns.

The Canadians won their first IWM medal since 2023, when they won gold at their home tournament in Halifax and Moncton.

The teams of Sweden and the Czech Republic will meet in the final of the tournament.
