Russian forward of the Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin scored the 151st winning goal in the NHL in his entire career, the league’s press service reports.

Washington hockey players beat the Anaheim Ducks in a home match of the NHL regular season. The meeting ended with a score of 7:4. Ovechkin has a double, he scored his team’s fifth and seventh goals. Since the Capitals allowed four goals, their fifth goal is considered the winner.

Ovechkin improved his own league record for winning goals in the regular season (140). However, taking into account the playoffs, he was inferior to Jaromir Jagr (151). Now Ovechkin and Jagr are level.

Ovechkin has 36 points (17+19) this season, 914 regular season goals in his entire career (an NHL record) and 991 goals including the playoffs.
