Hurricanes forward Svechnikov voted third NHL Gameday Star
Russian Carolina Hurricanes forward Andrei Svechnikov was recognized as the third game-day star in the NHL, the league’s press service reports.
Svechnikov gave four assists in a home match of the NHL regular season against the Dallas Stars (6:3). The forward has 17 points in his last 11 games.
The first star of the day was Canadian New York Islanders forward Anthony Duclair, who scored 5 points (3+2) in a home game with the New Jersey Devils (9:0).
Canadian Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid became the second star of the day, scoring a hat-trick in a home match with the Nashville Predators (6:2).
