Junior World Hockey Championship. Victories for Canada and Czech Republic, elimination of team USA
All quarter-final matches in the U-20 World Youth Hockey Championship have ended.
The main event of the 1/4 finals was the elimination of the hosts of the tournament and the current champion. The USA team left the tournament after losing to Finland 3:4 in overtime.
Finland has not won a gold medal at the Junior World Championships since 2019.
Two more meetings ended with devastating results. Canada beat Slovakia 7:1 and Czech Republic beat Switzerland 6:2.
Sweden eliminated Latvia in the match played earlier in the day.
Sweden – Finland and Canada – Czech Republic will play in the semi-finals.
