NHL. 5 forward points, Pittsburgh-Philadelphia derby, Vegas win in overtime

NHL team Buffalo is trying to return to the playoffs for the first time in years, and today the Blades have won 15 of their last 17 games, beating Montreal 5-3.

Forward Tage Thompson had a hat trick and scored five points and Buffalo is in the top 4 in the Atlantic Division.

Sidney Crosby scored two points as Pittsburgh beat Philadelphia 6-3 in the Pennsylvania Derby. Penguins are in the play-off zone.

In the West, Vegas beat Toronto 6-5 in overtime in a strong game, with forward Mitch Marner scoring two points against his former team. The Knights lead the Pacific Division with confidence.

Winnipeg won its fourth straight game, defeating Minnesota 6-2 behind four points from Mark Scheifele. Still, the Jets sit second to last in the league.
