KHL President Alexey Morozov congratulated Dynamo Minsk forward Vadim Shipachev on scoring his thousandth point in the league, noting that the hockey player will have other achievements in his career.

On Monday, Dynamo beat Admiral Vladivostok on their ice with a score of 2:1 in the Fonbet KHL Championship match, 38-year-old Shipachev scored an assist and was the first in history to overcome the 1000-point mark in the league. He has 314 goals and 686 assists.

— Congratulations to Vadim Shipachev on scoring a thousand points in the KHL. He was the first in the history of the league to reach this milestone – a figure that speaks to the scale of his talent, consistency and athletic longevity. Behind this lies daily work, boundless dedication to hockey and enormous dedication. We are proud to be witnessing real history. 1000 points is a gift to everyone who has been with Vadim all these years: coaches, partners, fans. But he’s not one to rest on his laurels, so the 1,000 is another highlight in his illustrious career. Let there be new victories, records and trophies ahead,” the KHL press service quotes Morozov as saying.
