Dynamo Minsk forward Vadim Shipachev, speaking about reaching the 1000 points mark in KHL matches, thanked his family and all the hockey players with whom he played in the league.

On Monday, Dynamo beat Admiral Vladivostok with a score of 2:1 in a home match of the Fonbet KHL Championship, 38-year-old Shipachev scored an assist and became the first in history to surpass the 1,000-point mark in the league. He has 314 goals and 686 assists.

“I would like to say a huge thank you to my family, to all the guys I play with. In all the teams I played only with the best, thank you very much to everyone. Thanks to the Dynamo management for believing in me and signing the contract. Thank you to the KHL for this wonderful gift (the puck that Vadim Moroz scored after Shipachev’s pass – approx.), It’s very nice. And we always need to remember that we are playing and trying to play beautiful hockey for the best fans,” Shipachev said after the match.

Shipachev previously played in the KHL for Severstal Cherepovets, SKA St. Petersburg, Dynamo Moscow and Ak Bars Kazan. As part of SKA, the striker became a two-time winner of the Gagarin Cup.
