Abramova’s puck in the last minute of the match brought Sibir a strong-willed victory over Severstal in the KHL
Novosibirsk “Siberia” defeated Cherepovets “Severstal” in the Fonbet KHL Championship match.
The meeting in Cherepovets ended with a score of 3:2 (0:1, 1:1, 2:0) in favor of the guests. As part of the winners, Mikhail Abramov scored a double, scoring the winning goal 38 seconds before the end of the third period; Valentin Pyanov also scored. Danil Aimurzin and Danil Veryaev scored for Severstal. “Siberia” lost during the match with a score of 0:2.
Sibir scored 41 points and rose to eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings, Severstal (61 points) ranks first in the West.
In the next match, Novosibirsk will host Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik on January 17, and the team from Cherepovets will play at home with Dynamo Minsk on the 15th.
