Tampa Bay Lightning hockey players beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in an away match of the NHL regular season.

The meeting in Pittsburgh ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of the guests. In regulation time, Janis Moser scored for Tampa, and Russian Evgeni Malkin scored for Pittsburgh.

In the post-match shootout, Russian Nikita Kucherov scored the decisive try and brought victory to Tampa.

Tampa’s Russian goalkeeper Andrei Vasilevsky saved 26 shots (96.3%) and was recognized as the first star of the match. The second star was named Moser, the third – the Latvian goalkeeper of Pittsburgh Artur Shilov.

Malkin scored his 10th goal of the season and scored his 32nd point (10+22).

Tampa won 11 matches in a row, repeating a club record. The Lightning scored 61 points and took the lead in the Eastern Conference. Pittsburgh (52) is in 10th position.

In another match of the day, Ottawa defeated Vancouver with a score of 2:1, Ottawa’s Russian defender Artem Zub scored a goal.
