Da Costa’s double helped Avtomobilist beat Traktor in the KHL
Ekaterinburg Avtomobilist defeated Chelyabinsk Traktor in the home match of the Fonbet KHL Championship.
The meeting in Yekaterinburg ended with a score of 4:1 (1:1, 3:0, 0:0). Stefan Da Costa scored a double as part of the winners, Yaroslav Busygin and Alexander Sharov also scored. At Traktor, Maxim Dzhioshvili scored the goal.
Avtomobilist scored 53 points and is in fourth place in the Eastern Conference standings, Traktor (48 points) is in sixth place.
In the next match, on January 17, the Ekaterinburg team will host the Ufa “Salavat Yulaev”, the team from Chelyabinsk will play at home with the Omsk “Avangard” the next day.

Hat-trick and 6 points for a defenseman in the NHL, Buffalo’s breakthrough, Florida’s victory
In the NHL East, the leaders remain Detroit and Carolina, who won today and share first place with 69 points. The top 3 was completed by Tampa Bay, which unexpectedly conceded 8 goals from Columbus.

Unexpectedly, the match between the reigning champion and the new player of the season ended in Odesshchina’s favor with a score of 9:5. True, the guests acted without a large number of leaders, but the result was still sensational.
Odesshchina initially lost 0:2, then managed to squeeze the opponent by scoring four goals.
