Voinov’s goal brought Avangard victory over CSKA in the KHL match
Omsk Avangard beat Moscow CSKA in a home match of the regular season of the Fonbet KHL Championship.
The meeting ended with the score 2:1 (1:0, 0:1, 1:0).
The author of the winning goal was 36-year-old Vyacheslav Voinov, who distinguished himself on his birthday. Damir Sharipzyanov also scored for Avangard. CSKA has the puck in Prokhor Poltapov’s account.
Avangard scored 61 points and ranks third in the Eastern Conference, CSKA (54) is sixth in the West.
In the next match, Avangard will play away on January 18 against Chelyabinsk Traktor, and CSKA will play away against Astana Barys on January 17.
