Metallurg beat Admiral in a KHL match with 12 goals and extended their winning streak
Metallurg Magnitogorsk beat Admiral on the road (8:4) in a high-scoring match of the Fonbet KHL Championship.
Derek Barak and Sergei Tolchinsky scored doubles for the winners; Ruslan Iskhakov, Nikita Korotkov, Luke Johnson and Valery Orekhov also scored.
Stepan Starkov, Pavel Shen, Vyacheslav Osnovin and Nikita Soshnikov scored for Admiral.
Already in the first period, the teams scored six goals between them; after the opening period, Metallurg led the score 4:2.
Magnitogorsk extended their winning streak in the KHL to seven matches, with 74 points, Andrei Razin’s team leads the Eastern Conference. “Admiral” suffered a fifth defeat in a row and finishes the table in the East with 34 points.
