Carolina defeated New Jersey in an NHL match, Svechnikov scored a hat-trick

The Carolina Hurricanes hockey players beat the New Jersey Devils in an away match of the NHL regular season.

The meeting in Newark ended with a score of 4:1 in favor of the guests. Carolina’s Russian forward Andrei Svechnikov scored a hat-trick, and Jackson Blake scored another goal. Timo Meier scored for New Jersey.

This is Svechnikov’s first hat-trick this season and the fourth in his NHL career. The Russian has 40 points (16+24) in 49 championship games.

Carolina scored 64 points and took first place in the Eastern Conference. New Jersey (50) dropped to 15th position.
