Vasilevskiy became the sixth goalie in NHL history to record 10 consecutive seasons with 20 or more wins.
Russian goalkeeper “Tampa Bay Lightning” Andrei Vasilevsky became the sixth goalkeeper in NHL history who managed to spend 10 consecutive seasons with 20 or more victories, the league’s press service reports.
Vasilevsky won his 20th victory this season in the NHL regular season match against the Dallas Stars (4:1). The 31-year-old goalkeeper was recognized as the first star of the meeting.
Previously, this achievement was achieved by Henrik Lundqvist (13 consecutive seasons), Martin Brodeur (12), Tony Esposito (12), Chris Osgood (10) and Jacques Plante (10).
Vasilevskiy is the 2020 and 2021 Stanley Cup winner, 2019 Vezina Trophy winner and 2021 Conn Smythe Trophy winner.
