The hockey player scored into his own goal. The most ridiculous goal in KHL history

“Admiral” managed to hit its own goal for the most part.

Vladivostok “Admiral” continues to cling to a place in the playoffs. In the next match of the regular season, it was not easy to improve the situation – Ak Bars came to visit. But for the time being there were chances for a favorable outcome, but the team captain buried them with one throw.

The most ridiculous own goal of the season left Admiral without points.

Unexpected transmission

On Monday, January 19, the game program of the day opened with matches in the Far East. “Amur” hosted “Metallurg” and ultimately failed to score points, losing 3:4.

“Admiral” in Vladivostok also failed to cope with “Ak Bars”. Oleg Bratash’s team lost 2:5. There were chances for a favorable outcome – in the third period, Admiral received the right to play in the majority, losing by one goal. If the Far Easterners had realized their one-player advantage, it would have been possible to reach overtime. But everything turned out according to a different scenario, not the most pleasant for local fans.

Czech defenseman of the Vladivostok team Libor Sulak rolled out from behind the goal, confidently controlling the puck. Nobody bothered him, the player had time to think and make the right decision. For some reason, in this situation, he decided to send the puck towards his goalie. Arseniy Tsyba did not expect such a development of events at all and did not have time to react adequately, throwing the puck between the pads.

“Result on the scoreboard”

It was painful to watch Shulak – the captain understood perfectly well that he had let the team down at a key moment in the match. Later, Admiral had another opportunity to realize the majority. It was not possible to do this, but at least it was done without another own goal. And in the end, the Leopards hit the opponent’s empty goal, setting the final score on the scoreboard.

Ak Bars head coach Anvar Gatiyatulin, in an interview after the match, preferred to credit Shulak’s unsuccessful actions to the merit of his team. And the head coach of Admiral did not, at least publicly, attribute the failure to the actions of the captain.

– Unfortunately, the subjunctive mood does not work here. The result is on the scoreboard, and now you can say whatever you want,” Match TV quoted Bratash as saying after the match.

In any case, the situation for the Vladivostok team continued to become more complicated, now any point is very important. But while the chances for the playoffs remain, we need to continue to fight. Look, in some key episode of another match, fortune will turn to face the team.
