The Finnish national team won the second victory at the home ice hockey world championship 2022, beating the Latvians
Hockey players of the Finnish national team won a strong-willed victory over the Latvians in the group stage match of the World Championship.
Group B meeting in Tampere ended with the score 2:1. Sakari Manninen and Mikael Granlund scored goals for the Finns, Rudolfs Balzers scored for the Latvian national team.
The Finns, who won the second match in a row, will meet with the Americans on May 16, the Latvian team (two defeats) will play with the Norwegian team.
Germany beat Slovakia 2-1 in Group A. The Germans in the next match will meet with the French national team, the Slovaks – with the Canadians.
The World Championship takes place in Finland.
