Austria beat Czech Republic in shootout at 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship

The Austrian national team beat the Czech Republic in the group stage match of the Ice Hockey World Championship in Finland.
The main time of the game ended with the score 1:1. The Austrians responded to Roman Cervenka’s goal with an accurate shot by Brian Lebler. Peter Schneider scored the decisive goal in the shootout.
Austria scored 3 points and moved up to fifth place in the standings of group B. The Czech Republic is in fourth place with 4 points.
In the next match, the Czechs will play with Latvia (May 19), and Austria with Norway (May 18).
