The limit on legionnaires in the KHL will be tightened from the 2023/24 season, according to the FHR

The format of the limit for legionnaires in KHL clubs will be changed in 2023, next season it will remain the same, said Arkady Rotenberg, Chairman of the Board of the Russian Hockey Federation (FHR).
Earlier, the Ministry of Sports received a proposal from the FHR, according to which the total number of legionnaires declared in the team of the Russian club for the KHL match should be no more than three.
– We came to a compromise on the limit on legionnaires. Next season we leave five legionnaires, in a season there will be three,” Rotenberg told reporters.
