Latvia beat Great Britain at the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship
The Latvian national team defeated the British team in the group stage match of the Ice Hockey World Championship, which takes place in Finland.
The meeting of group B was held in Tampere and ended with the victory of the Latvians with a score of 4:3. Washers in the national team of Latvia were thrown by Oskar Batnea, Jaks Janis, Rihards Bukarts and Andris Jerins. The British scored Brett Perlini, Cade Nelson and Lewis Hook.
The Latvians scored eight points and before the final match of the group stage they continue to fight for getting into the playoffs, the fourth-placed Americans have 10 points and two matches in reserve. Team Great Britain suffered their sixth defeat in six matches. The top four teams will advance to the playoffs.
The Latvians will play the next match on May 24 against the Swedish national team, the British will meet with the Austrian team the day before.
