Austria defeated Great Britain in the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship match
The Austrian national team defeated the Great Britain team in their final group stage match of the 2022 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, which takes place in Finland.
The meeting of group B was held in Tampere and ended with the victory of Austria with a score of 5:3. The pucks for the Austrians were scored by Ali Vukowitz, Dominik Heinrich, Benjamin Nisner, Thomas Raffl and Peter Schneider. The British scored Matthew Myers, Robert Dowd and Cade Nelson.
Both teams failed to make it to the playoffs: the Austrians took sixth place, and the British were the last and will spend the next season in the IA division.
