Former Pittsburgh Penguins NHL player Jaromir Jagr commented on getting into a car accident in Prague involving a tram, noting that the traffic accident was his fault.
The incident took place on Wednesday morning. The car of 50-year-old Jagr collided with a tram, the left side of the car was damaged. The player suffered a minor hand injury and refused hospitalization. A Prague police spokesman said the driver’s alcohol test was negative.
“I just wanted to briefly share what happened. The crash is my fault. I did not react to the tram going in the same direction as me, noticing it at the last moment. I thought this was the end. I always believed that higher powers protect me and once again I was convinced of this. The main thing is that nothing happened to the tram passengers. Thank you all for your understanding and instant help,” Jagr wrote on social media.
Jagr is an Olympic champion in the Czech national team, a two-time world champion.
