CSKA Moscow President Igor Esmantovich believes that a move to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl will help striker Sergei Andronov restart his career.
It was previously announced that the 32-year-old hockey player moved from CSKA to Lokomotiv.
– Probably, the time has come for Sergey to restart his career. The captain of CSKA for many years, he worked out his contract perfectly, there are no complaints, but equality within the salary cap makes itself felt. Sergei claims a salary that he feels the way he thinks. But the salary cap dictates things related to adjustments. We had a sincere conversation, we understood each other. For him, CSKA is his home.
We have a complete defense. It remains to agree on the terms of the contract with Nikita Nesterov and we will enter the season in the state that we have. Several positions for legionnaires are preserved, only worthy ones can come to the club, but we rely on our own, Russian guys, – Esmantovich said on the air of the All for the Match! on Match TV.
Andronov has been playing for CSKA since 2014, where he won the Gagarin Cup twice.
