Edmonton advance to Stanley Cup semi-finals

The Calgary Flames lost 4-5 to the Edmonton Oilers in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Quarterfinal Series in overtime.

Connor McDavid scored the winning goal. Leon Draisaitl provided four assists.

Defender of the ice hosts Nikita Zadorov scored with an assist and finished the match with a +1 rating.

Edmonton won the series 4-1 on aggregate and advanced to the Stanley Cup semi-finals, where they would play the winner of the Colorado-St. Louis pair.

Edmonton last won the Stanley Cup in the 1989/1990 season.
