The Czech Republic team became the bronze medalist of the 2022 Ice Hockey World Cup, defeating the US team
The Czech Republic team defeated the US team in the bronze medal match of the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship, which takes place in Finland.
The meeting ended with the score 8:4. As part of the winners, a hat-trick was scored by David Pastrnak, a double by David Kampf. Roman Chervenka, Jiri Smeikal and Jiri Chernokh also distinguished themselves. The Czechs scored six goals in the third period. The 2023 World Championship was supposed to be held in St. Petersburg, but the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) deprived Russia of the right to host the tournament. The 2023 World Cup will be held in Tampere (Finland) and Riga.

The third day of competitions at the Junior World Hockey Championship held in the USA has ended.
After defeating Denmark with a score of 6:2, the Finnish team also defeated Latvia with a score of 8:0. The Latvian team, which was only defeated by Canada in extra time, did not have the strength to cope with another strong opponent.
The Finnish team outscored its opponent with 41:7 (an anti-record at the World Championships – six shots per game).
Finnish hockey players lead the group with 6 points, while Latvia is in second place with one point.

The third day of matches in the elite league of the U-20 World Youth Hockey Championship has started.
The Swedish team, which started the tournament with a difficult victory against Slovakia, defeated the Swiss team with a score of 3-2 today. And again there were difficulties for one of the favorites.
The Swedes lost 1:2 but scored three goals in the third period to win.
While Sweden and the USA are leaders in the group with six points, Switzerland is in last place with two losses.
