The Finnish national team defeated the team of Canada (4:3 OT) in overtime in the final of the home ice hockey world championship in 2022.
Sakari Manninen scored the winning goal. The main time of the meeting ended with the score 3:3. Double in the Finns designed Mikael Granlund, also abandoned by Yoel Armia. The Canadians scored Dylan Cozens, Zach Whitecloud and Maxim Comtua.
The Finns have become four-time world champions. They also have nine silver medals of the tournament and three bronze medals.
Earlier on Sunday, the Czech national team won bronze medals, defeating the Americans (8:4).
